Good Things Festival Melbourne 2018

The first instalment of Australia’s newest rock festival Good Things kicked off in Melbourne in early December at the Flemington Racecourse (forever remembered as the home of Big Day Out – RIP). The line up of 90s/2000s rock bands (The Offspring, Stone Sour, The Used, Bullet For My Valentine, Tonight Alive) combined with the 38 degree weather really did feel like we’d been transported back to a smaller Big Day Out festival. Laneway Festival 2017

Back in January I photographed St Jerome’s Laneway Festival at the Footscray Community Arts Centre for my seventh year in a row. I was there to mainly shoot the event production for Architects Of Entertainment, but still made time to shoot some bands – some of the stand out performances were Camp Cope (my current favourite), Aurora, Gang Of Youths and Tame Impala. Looking back through all these shots now is making me long for the next Australian summer festival season to hit!
