Highlights Of 2016

It’s been a busy year! I photographed alot less gigs this year than usual, but still managed to find time to follow two of my favourite bands on tour – The Living End in June, and Garbage in December. I was hoping to finally hit the milestone of having shot 1000 bands, but only made it to 967 (since I started shooting gigs in 2008) – so I guess 2017 will be the year. St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2016

Last weekend I photographed St Jerome’s Laneway Festival for the sixth year in a row, for The AU Review. One of my current favourite bands Chvrches were playing (I also shot them at Laneway in 2014), and I finally got to see Purity Ring live after hearing so many great things about them. My favourite new discoveries were Health, Fidlar, DIIV and Metz. There were alot of clashes on the timetable this year, and the Very West Stage was almost one kilometre away from two of the other stages, so it made shooting as many bands as possible a bit …
